Things become clearer when you reduce them to their bare essentials.
This elementary philosophy is the basic idea behind our one hand UNO watch with its astonishingly simple approach to time-keeping: the UNO makes do with just one hand - the hour hand. This moves just like the hour hand of any normal watch with several hands - in other words, every 12 hours it completes one full rotation.
The simplified dial means that the one hand watch provides an approximate idea of the current time at a glance (e.g. shortly before three o'clock). If a more precise indication of the time is required, the five-minute gradations on the UNO allow you to work out the exact time, accurate to more or less one minute, by judging the position of the hand in between two of the five-minute lines. The great strength of the UNO, however, lies in everyday time-keeping and the fact that the time of day is shown "at a glance" by an analogue and graphic representation of the day.
The primary focus during design of this one-hand watch was to achieve optimum readability: the narrow case border can accommodate a very large dial. Positioning the time scale right at the edge of the dial results in maximum resolution and therefore a highly precise time display. In conjunction with the extremely slim hand, the exact time can be read to an accuracy of just a few minutes. The strap lugs are positioned underneath the case, which makes the watch much more comfortable to wear, especially by people with slim wrists. The UNO is regarded as the original modern one-hand watch and remains today one of Klaus Botta’s internationally most successful watches.

This watch lets you know the approximate time without fretting over the exact numbers. It gives you a feel for the current time which is all that is generally needed. If you really want you can determine the current time within a minute or two but such determination is generally unnecessary. My one complaint is that the watch tends to slide on my wrist unless I make the band tighter; this is not a big deal. Otherwise, I highly recommend this watch if you want to free yourself from the tyranny of exactitude.
