DuFa is proud to present its unique take on the dive watch. Through the prism of Bauhaus design cues, the DuFa Freitaucher is a tidy, well-proportioned sports watch.
Measuring 41mm in diameter, the case exhibits cleanly finished lines and finely chamfered details along the length of the case. A box-domed-shaped sapphire crystal lens tops the case with a matte-finished, aluminum, uni-directional turning, diver bezel with 15-minute calibrations set on top of 12-hour dual time markings.
The dial is sparse at first glance but is framed with square applied indexes on the hour, ready to meet the baton hands in harmony. Applied hour markers in the DuFa Bauhaus inspired font are present at the 12, 3 and 9 o’clock position. A date aperture at the 6 o’clock position gives way to a custom colored date wheel display in a choice of either aqua blue or red.
Powered by a Miyota 9 series automatic, the watch measures 12.5mm in thickness and carries a water resistance of 150m.
The watch is comfortable, proportioned intelligently to be robust yet finely tuned. In a growing universe of vintage or dress divers, the Freitaucher from DuFa attempts to reframe this popular style with a spin that keeps with the brand's homage to the Bauhaus school of product design.
